You think you can't until you think you can and then you try and then you do. Our limits are often in our own minds. Our own decision to not face the edge of our comfort zones. Yet, there is this unsettledness within you. You know you want to push the edges and try to find out what you are made of.
Instead, you decide to escape into some form of desire-numbing activity. We call this addiction and it usually is a cover-up for saying no to some true longing within to stretch out into the unknown of yourself and your life.
Maybe today will be different. Maybe today you will decide to embrace the discomfort, to push past the urge to revert back into some unhealthy pattern that numbs the deeper longing.
You could act today, you could make a decision to stop denying yourself the opportunity to see what you are made of by embracing the unknown and diving into it with brave abandonment.
It will take courage. You have to face yourself most of all. You have to face that regular decision to numb the pain and instead say no to less and yes to a more whole, healthy, free, you.
In courageous hope,
Tony
